Onsite Data Destruction
For clients that required data to be destroyed before leaving their facility, Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd. offers onsite services that cover the spectrum of risk profiles including data erasure, degaussing, and shredding.
ONSITE DEGAUSSING
The process starts with an engineer delivering degaussing equipment to your site to start the process. Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd.’s onsite degaussing service applies an electromagnetic pulse of 9000 Oersteds, almost twice the level of the coercivity of today’s disk drives, to erase all information on a data storage device. Following completion of the job, a list of the device serial numbers will be recorded on a certificate of data erasure and at that point storage devices can be transported back to Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd.’s facility for shredding and recycling. This service is typically required by customers with demanding security requirements as it also renders the hard disk drive inoperable for reuse.
ONSITE SHREDDING
Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd. has invested in mobile hard drive shredders in many of our locations around the globe. These shredders are transported to your location via Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd. truck and can safely be operating inside your facility, on your loading dock, or inside our truck. You have the option of specifying the desired shred output size based on your security policy or we can recommend a size for you. Following completion of the job, a list of the device serial numbers will be recorded on a certificate of data destruction and the shredded material can be transported back to Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd.’s facility. This service is typically required by customers with the most demanding security requirements.
ONSITE DATA ERASURE
This typically includes Greeniva Recycler Pvt. Ltd. deploying technicians to your location and wiping your storage devices in accordance with our regimented operating procedures. For small or remote locations, we have the option of providing software licenses and training via an easy to use platform and process. In either case the data overwrite is performed to exceed the NIST 800-88 standard (supersedes Department of Defense 5220-22-M standard) and it ensures that 100% of sectors are overwritten. Drives with damaged sectors that can not be overwritten are removed and shredded. Proof of successful completion of the data erasure is provided through a certificate of data destruction that is generated once the device is successfully wiped.
